Since the BMW X2 first arrived on the scene in 2018, it’s just gotten better every year. From touchscreen upgrades to extra standard features, every new model has been enhanced. And while not a whole lot has been altered with the 2022 version, there are some changes aficionados especially will appreciate.
The Extended Shadowline Package
The most notable addition to the BMW X2 is the optional Extended Shadowline Package that has been available in other BMW models. With this feature, all exterior components come with a gloss-black finish. If you want people to take notice when you drive down the road, this will give your vehicle a unique sleekness that will cause heads to turn.
No Changes Needed
Power and Performance
BMW smartly made no changes to what’s under the hood in the BMW X2. The base engine is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that offers 228 horsepower. You can also go with the other turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that pumps out 301 horsepower.
The acceleration in this SUV is also outstanding. While the base model will get you from 0 to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds, that goes down to 4.7 seconds with the more potent engine.
Tech and Safety
The advanced components in the BMW X2 also haven’t been changed, as it still comes loaded. Every model has HD and satellite radio, Apple CarPlay®, and a navigation system. Standard safety features include front and rear parking sensors, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking.
