Keeping your BMW tires in fine conditions doesn’t have to be difficult. Here are some answers to common tire questions that will give you key information about maintenance, replacements, and more.

How Can I Keep My Tires in Great Shape?

There are things you can do to maintain your tires, and rotations may be the most important. Every six months or so, they should be rotated, as this helps them wear down more evenly. In addition to improving performance, it also helps increase gas mileage. Additional tire services we recommend and offer:

  • Air pressure adjustment
  • Tire balancing
  • Wheel alignment

How Do I Know I Need Tire Service?

Always heed to your owner's manual for tire maintenance intervals. However, we encourage you to come in earlier if your car veers to one side or the other when driving, if you frequently need to put air in your tires, or if you notice damage on one of your tires.

How Long Do Tires Last?

If you maintain your tires, a new set should last you a good 50,000 miles or so. If you neglect basic tire services, however, that could severely shorten their lifespan.

When Do I Need to Replace My Tires?

If you’ve noticed that the treads on your tires are shallow, if the rubber is cracking or you see any bubbles, or if you are experiencing frequent loss in air, it may be time for a new set.

What Are the Right Tires for My Car?

Tires come in a variety of different sizes and types, and it’s important that you choose wisely. Your owner’s manual can give you great insight into what will work best for your vehicle, but you can also get in touch with the service center at BMW of Fort Washington to get information from the experts!
