Proof of Identity
We need to be sure that you are who you say you are when you're taking out a car loan. So, you'll need to have some form of identification, like a driver's license. We'll also need your social security number if we're running your credit, so having that card on you can't hurt.
Proof of Residence
We often need your proof of residence as well. A copy of the lease or mortgage agreement, a property tax bill, a utility bill, or another piece of documentation that shows where you live can help make the process a bit smoother.
Proof of Income
We'll also need to see some proof of your income when you're financing a car. Usually, documents like a W2 or a few pay stubs are sufficient. Sometimes we'll ask to see a few months of data, like in situations where you're proving your income with bank statements.
Proof of Insurance
We need to know that you'll be insuring your vehicle, so you'll have to give our financing department some evidence that your vehicle will be covered and legally operating on the road.
